Hello, my name is Rob Hughes, your new NSRT President.

Thinking of the House of Delegates conducted by the ASRT brings to mind all of the events that have occurred over the previous year and all of the issues that will still affect us in the coming year. Chief among them is the C.A.R.E. bill. With recent successes, now is a great time to call your senator and representative and thank them for their support or urge them to sign on to the bill.

The NSRT will continue to host a variety of educational activities including CE Saturdays, Learn in Lincoln, and the Annual Conference. These events are a great way to meet fellow technologists across the state and become informed about a variety of subjects that are important us. All of the events bring together great speakers and allow each of us an opportunity to learn and grow in our profession.

The NSRT Board is constantly working to improve the services that are offered. One of the largest changes in progress is updates to the NSRT.net website. There are great areas for meeting those involved in the NSRT, educational programs, ASRT updates, and legislative information. There will also be sections dedicated to the student members allowing them to gain more information and begin involvement in our society.

Now is a great time to be a part of the NSRT, and I hope to you all at the next meeting!
